Freya's Hair-Dagger
Inspired by the Norse Goddess Freya. Goddess of love, beauty, fertility, sex, war, gold, and seiðr (magic or sorcery used for seeing and influencing the future)
A walk through the art:
The pommel features a chariot wheel. The wheel symbolizes the chariot Freya used to travel across realms.
On the hilt is Freya's most loyal companion, the golden boar Hildisvíni who is wearing the the legendary Brísingamen necklace. A creation made by dwarves and imbued with the power of beauty and desire.
On the hilt is the rune for Freya trapped inside on of her tears. According to legend when Freya wept for her wandering husband, Óðr, her tears became gold or amber.
Down the blade are primrose. They symbolize purity, love, and protection
Materials: Durable zinc alloy, nickel and lead-free
Size: 6.5 inches long
Uses: while it is designed to be a hair-stick, hair-sword, or hair-dagger, it can also be used as an athame, altar decor, letter opener, bookmark, decor for a potted plant, a prop for an art doll, or tucked into a belt, thigh garter, or hat band. I'm sure there are even more ways to slay.
