Apollo's Dagger
Inspired by the Greek God Apollo. God of music, arts, and archery
A walk through the art:
On the hilt is a lyre rest against a setting sun.
Soon after his birth, Hermes stole Apollo's sacred cattle. To appease his angry brother, Hermes crafted the first lyre using a tortoise shell for the soundbox, bull horns for the frame, and gut strings.
When Apollo discovered the theft, he confronted Hermes but was so captivated by the enchanting music from the new instrument that he agreed to trade the stolen cattle for the lyre. He soon became a renowned virtuoso and the lyre came to be Apollo's most recognized symbol.
The twin arrows along the handles pay homage to his mastery of archery, reflecting his precision and his role as a protector. These arrows serve as a reminder to navigate life with clarity and intent, empowered by Apollo's strength and guidance.
The crest of the handle is adorned with a G clef, symbolizing Apollo's deep connection to music and creativity.
The blade features a graceful flock of ravens soaring among music notes. In mythology, ravens are Apollo's trusted messengers, delivering prophecies and truths. Together, these elements weave a story of fate, harmony, and artistic expression, embodied in this baroque-inspired Hair Stick.
- Materials: Zinc and steel blend
- Dimensions: 6.5 inches long
- Perfect For: Styling hair, cosplay, enhancing your altar, or as a gift for mythology enthusiasts
