The Morrigan
The Morrigan, known as the Triple Goddess is one of three Irish Goddesses of War. Sisters who could bond together and take the form of a single deity, often appearing as a crow flying over the battlefields Feared because she could predict the outcomes of war but never interfered. Revered for her ability to protect. Her name translates to the "Phantom Queen" and is sometimes referred to as the Badb Catha, "The Battle Crow". Her weapon of choice was the scythe.
The acorns are a symbol to ward off negative energy.

Each hair pin is six (6) inches long in total. The pin, itself is five (5) inches. The Crow emblem is one (1) inch long and two and a half (2.5) inches wide.
It weighs approx 6 grams. Its lightweight and is comfortable to wear.
Made from a Zinc Alloy. Nickel and Lead free
*Note. It is shorter than some standard hair pins or chopsticks but it is still more than long enough to secure a bun.

Oh my, do I ever love this hair dagger. I have super fine hair and the curve of the dagger means it stays put where even a barrette or bobby pin would fall out. It's also the perfect size for tiny heads (I wear a child's small/medium helmet.) Bonus I love the design. :D Came well packaged and quite quickly too!

The hair sword is so pretty and well made. I did try to open a letter with it, and it works better as a hair stick than a letter opener. The only thing is I have a bit of a sensitive nose and the fragrant accompanying the comb was incredibly strong, so I couldn't use it right away. Luckily a lemon helped. Other than that, I can't wait to wear it! :)
