The Sword of Eostre
Eostre, the elusive Germanic Goddess of Dawn and Spring. Believed to have playing a role in the origin of Ostara.
Mentioned by the Venerable Bede in
Temporum Ratione (The Reckoning of Time) in 725 AD
and by Jacob Grimm who wrote: “Esotre seems therefore to have been the divinity of the radiant dawn, of upspringing light, a spectacle that brings joy and blessing, whose meaning could be easily adapted by the resurrection-day of the Christian's God."
The design features a classic Germanic blade to honor the origin of Eostre. Its wrapped with Lilies, a symbol for spring.
The bunny is a symbol for prospect, abundance, good luck, and fertility.
Dying eggs has been a long pagan tradition. The bright colors represent the blooming Spring flowers. In honor of that, the handle is formed with eggs with moons and stars.
The butterfly end caps symbolize rebirth and resurrection.

Each hair pin is six (6) inches long in total. The pin, itself is five (5) inches. The Crow emblem is one (1) inch long and two and a half (2.5) inches wide.

Made from a Zinc Alloy. Nickel and Lead free
*Note. It is shorter than some standard hair pins or chopsticks but it is still more than long enough to secure a bun.

Beautiful craftsmanship. Love the design. Just fair warning, I wore mine for a week and it started to bend at the hilt. I bent it back into place easily but I was sad it bent in the first place.
