The Morrigan Hair-Dagger
Inspired by the Celtic Goddess The Morrigan. Goddess of war and death.
A walk through the art:
The Morrigan, often referred to as the "Phantom Queen," is a triple deity, representing three sisters who could merge into a single entity of immense power. One of her most prominent forms is the Badb Catha, or "Battle Crow,". The Badb was believed to forewarn warriors of their fate, her cries echoing across the battlefield.
The Badb Catha rests on the hilt clutching a bundle of acorns.
If the warriors did not head the warnings of the Badb and ended up slain during the battle their severed heads were called "Macha's acorn crop" or "the Morrigan's acorn crop," symbolizing the bounty of death she claimed
Materials: Made from a durable zinc alloy, nickel and lead free
Dimensions: Measures six (6) inches long; the pin itself is five (5) inches, and the crow emblem is one (1) inch long and two and a half (2.5) inches wide.
Perfect For: Witches, mythology enthusiasts, and those seeking to embrace their inner warrior
Invoke the strength and mystery of The Morrigan and carry her energy with you, a symbol of protection and transformation in every strand.
